This photo of a ski lift is meant to show multiple facets of composition. There are multiple leading lines such as the shape of the lift pole itself and the cable of the lift stretching off into the distance. There is constant repetition of the chairs and the lift poles as they fill the photo. The point of view of that is shown is one of the people who is riding the lift up to the summit of Shawnee Peak. There are many different lines in the photo leading back into space, such as the lift lines and the tree line. The ISO of this photo is 200, the white balance was set to cloudy, the shutter speed was set to 1/125, and the aperture was set to f/5.6. I felt that this was my best photo because it incorporated light and dark areas. The dark green and black shadows in the trees contrasted well with the sky and the snow. I also liked how the sun coming through the clouds helps the lifts movement blur slightly. This image also carries a positive connotation for me because in the winter the mountains are my happy place when outdoors.
Looking at this photo, the compositional element that is most apparent is texture. There is also lines seen the balls and grass. When I edited this photo, I adjusted lighting and texture values. I also converted it into black and white. The camera was set to standard phone settings. This photo makes me think of the few hour long range sessions I subject my self to.
Looking at this photo, the compositional element that is most apparent is line. There is also depth seen by the poles of the range. When I edited this photo, I adjusted the lighting and some of the color values. The camera was set to standard phone settings. This photo reminds me of the country club old man life that i live in the summer.
